Amber Arcades

Indie Pop | The Netherlands

Amber Arcades is Dutch-born Annelotte de Graaf. She first started writing songs in 2010 whilst living in Philadelphia. Back in the Netherlands she released a debut EP in 2012 of her fragile, gentle and bitter sweet folk.

A meeting with Ben Greenberg (Beach Fossils, Sacred Bones) moved her music into deeper and heavier territory. The resulting album was jumped on by Heavenly Records.

Her otherworldly songs pull the listener into a strange and half lit place where the edges of everything glow softly. Flashes of Kraut motorik rhythm, lysergic guitar and fuzzed out organ grow and twist around classic, if slightly out of focus, pop melody.

Nothing is quite the same after Amber Arcades.
