The timeless and traditional way to develop, evolve and refine a band. Balthazar formed in 2004. A relentless live schedule honed their craft. Quickly becoming a revered, and formidable, live band. Their debut album “Applause” was released in 2010 to critical and commercial acclaim.

A further two albums, and devastating live performances, saw the band reveal a deeper, darker and more complex sonic character. Producer Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, Blur, U2, Horrors) added a sensual shade, edge and texture to their classic song structure. Precise, deadly and epic. In a world of quick flings Balthazar was always intended as a long term and passionate affair.
