Tessa Dixson - Genesis

Inspired by the Brussels alternative music scene and her Californian roots, Tessa Dixson started composing at the age of 12 on the piano and the guitar. At the age of 16 she participated in the “The Voice” Belgium, which was to be the catalyst that unlocked her preferred style of music: alternative pop with influences from artists such as Banks, James Blake and FKA Twigs. Born in 1997 in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual family, listening and playing music were a part of her everyday life. With a foot in Belgium, another in the UK, and yet another in California, this cultural divide inspired her edgy style.
